What we offer

position for a Computational Multiphysics Modeller at its office in Barcelona, Spain.

What you’ll be doing
- Develop and implement numerical models based on partial differential
equations to quantify short- and long-term behaviour of engineered barrier
systems in deep underground radioactive waste storage facilities. - Special focus on the chemical evolution of the near field, particularly concrete
and clay barriers, due to the interaction with groundwater. - Take part in the integration into complex coupled models accounting for
temperature, multiphase flows and solid mechanics. - Effectively communicate the results of projects with clients (both external and
within the wider RSK group) and Amphos 21 colleagues to build strong working
relationships with the aim of meeting client expectations. - Managing the technical aspects of projects to meet both commercial and
technical requirements and working with the project team and project lead to
deliver innovative solutions.
What we’re looking for:
- A degree and MSc in Chemical Engineering, Material Science or related are
essential. A PhD would be a plus. - Knowledge in chemical processes in porous media, reactive flows/transport,
geochemistry, thermodynamics. - Experience in modelling with commercial or open-source Finite Element
codes, e.g. Comsol Multiphysics, Abaqus, Ansys, or similar. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, including report
writing. Spanish, Catalan and/or French will be highly valued. - Able to work independently and as part of a high-performance team.
- Good knowledge of programming languages, such as Python, C++ or Fortran
will be highly valued.
