R&D projects
Most projectes developed at Amphos 21 have a strong component of research and technological development. Therefore, alliances with university departments and research centres at national and international level are frequent.

Working with highly qualified researchers
The development of R&D projects allows us to involve highly qualified professionals with large experience in research and with PhD thesis or post-doctoral studies. On the other hand, the staff in Amphos 21 is highly encouraged to undertake PhD thesis and post-doctoral studies. Furthermore, last year university students often work with us for a few months to finalise their undergraduate dissertation and gain some practical experience in their fields of interest.

Amphos 21- ENRESA Chair on Sustainability and Waste Management at UPC
As part of the numerous collaborations between Amphos 21, ENRESA and la UPC , the Chair Amphos 21-ENRESA in Sustainability and Waste Management was created in order to facilitate and promote R&D and training in the field of sustainability whilst at the same time increase environmental awareness among civil society in general. go to Chair

Coordination of R&D activities
Amphos 21 works closely with university departments to coordinate R&D activities which respond to the needs of the public and private sectors. An example is the development of the Strategic Plan of Environmental Research at Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya.

Training
he staff at Amphos 21 participates in numerous training activities at university level such as giving lectures at postgraduate courses and Masters' courses on the fields of activity of the company, such as contaminated land and water or waste management.

Scientific conferences
Amphos 21 participates in a number of symposium and scientific conferences at international and national level, where we present the results of research projects and take the opportunity to exchange views and experiences on different issues. We often organise and coordinate this type of acitivitives as part of the projects we develop.
